MANDATORY REAL ESTATE PRE-LICENSURE CLASSES
Law of Agency (1111)
Topics Include:
Types of agency. Application of License Act, Fiduciary responsibilities, creation
of agency, responsibilities of agency and principle, intermediary, dual agency,
review of finance, TREC promulgated forms and notices.

Law of Contracts (1200)
Topics Include:
Elements of a contract, offer and acceptance, the stature of frauds, specific
performance and remedies for breach, unauthorized practice of law, commission
rules relating to use of adopted forms, and owner disclosure requirements.

Principles of Real Estate I (0111)
Topics Include:
Introduction to Real Estate practices in Texas, Real Property, The Real Estate
Market, Fair Housing (3 hours) Brokerage, The License Act, Contracts, and Appraisal
are included in this course.

Topics Include:
Real Estate Financing; Principles, and Practices, Transfer of title and title
records, math, closing, property management. Control of land and Real Estate

real estate professionalism and ethics.

Topics Include:
Purposes and functions of an appraisal, social and economic determinants of
value, cost market data, and income approaches to value, final correlations,
reporting, appraisal case studies and others.

Introduction to professional property management, manger-owner relationship,
leases, owner-tenant issues, safety issues, Federal, State, & Local Laws,

Concepts of basic financing, government influences on fiancé, current

free hold estate, legal descriptions, ownership, brokerage, and agency. Conveyances,

In depth study of finance, federal and state regulations regarding loan application
and funding. RESPA, ECOA and TSLD included information content.

Real Estate Brokerage (0721)
Topics Include:
A course to assist those wanting to become a Broker and/or Manager of a Real
Estate Office. It outlines the dos and don’ts for this licensee. It also
familiarizes the pre licensee with the workings of a Real Estate Office, so
they will be more prepared to make a decision about where they want to interview,
and good questions to be asked.
